FAQ

“Our goal is not just helping you recover, but helping you stay strong, active, and independent long after therapy ends.”

What is Mobile Physical Therapy?

Mobile physical therapy brings expert, one-on-one care directly to you. Whether at your home, workplace, gym, or community setting, we provide personalized treatment in the environment where you live and move every day.

This convenient approach is ideal for busy professionals, parents of young children, older adults, and anyone who values individualized care without the hassle of traveling to a clinic. We proudly service the areas of Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and Foley.

Do I need a physician referral?

No. Under Alabama law, qualified physical therapists can evaluate and treat many non-work-related conditions without a referral from a physician. Cash-pay patients have direct access to physical therapy services without restriction.

What is cash-based physical therapy?

Cash-based physical therapy means that services are paid for directly by the patient rather than being billed through insurance. This allows your physical therapist to focus on providing individualized, one-on-one care based on your goals and needs—not insurance company limitations.

At Sustaining Grace Physiotherapy, a cash-based model allows for longer appointments, personalized treatment plans, and care that is focused entirely on helping you achieve the activities and lifestyle that matter most to you. Patients receive a clear understanding of costs upfront with no surprise bills.

Yes! We offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your concerns, goals, and what you're hoping to achieve through physical therapy. This is an opportunity to ask questions, learn more about our services, and determine whether Sustaining Grace Physiotherapy is the right fit for your needs. If we believe another provider or service would better meet your goals, we're happy to point you in the right direction. Call or text 251-215-4059 to get started!

How long are appointments?

Initial evaluations are typically 60–75 minutes, allowing ample time to discuss your history, perform a thorough assessment, and develop a personalized plan of care. Follow-up visits are generally 45–60 minutes and are focused on hands-on treatment, exercise, education, and progress toward your goals.

Because we are a cash-based practice, your appointment time is dedicated entirely to you—without the constraints often associated with insurance-based care.

What is dry needling?

Dry Needling involves inserting a tiny monofilament needle into symptomatic tissue with the intent to reduce pain, increase circulation, and improve the function of the neuromuscular system. Dry Needling is based on Western medical concepts and is NOT a form of acupuncture.
